Hello all. This is my new blog to post new products, articles on photography and things that interest me.

We've started the year with a bang. January is usually a month that I take off to regroup. Somehow that did not happen and it turned out to be a big month for commercial work. Although my chosen specialty is children I do a lot of work for businesses that need nice headshots or creative shots of the staff for their business. This is a shot that I did for Debbie Johns at Papers By Design (281.298.9888). "Debbie and the Gang" was the theme of her New Years card. I love this edgy shot and want to do more work like this.

I have also recently done work for some local orthodontists and dentists. Here is the ad for Dr. Farley . I photograph their children every year and they've chosen to use their boys in his ad. The headshot is also an example of the classic headshots that I do on location. I set up in the client's office and photograph the employees needing headshots. This is a quick and virtually pain free process.. not to mention convenient for those involved.

Here is a shot of my brother, TJ Fry. He is a mortgage broker here in The Woodlands (281.465.6307). Here is the shot he should be using in his ad. If you see another photo of him... I didn't do it. Hopefully he'll come to his senses and stop using that other shot he's been using. I've also recently done some work for a local design firm in Woodlands, Bellacasa. We photographed the designers for a book in this same dramatic black and white style.

This same style is something we also use for our portrait clients. It is called our Signature Black and White Portrait. The session is a little more involved - photographing all of the family members- but very relaxed. The feedback we have received from our clients has been wonderful. Everyone has been thrilled with their finished portrait and commented that the session was very easy. I always try to keep things low key and as stress free as possible. Here is a portrait from a Signature B&W session. This is a composite of individual photographs of each family member. It's great because you can choose your favorite shot of each person and the final portrait is put together from those images. We also photograph the children together and the parents with each child individually. I encourage silliness and sweetness. I like to show the relationship between each family member and those sweet expressions that you treasure.
